News:
The Guild of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus was established three years ago to foster encounters with Beauty in such a way as to encounter Christ, for Jesus is Beauty Incarnate! This is to be done via seven pillars: sacred arts, sacred music, architecture, literature, pilgrimage, Eucharistic adoration, and retreat. It is such a gift to be able to foster these encounters and to carry them out in the spirit of Bishop Caggiano’s vision, “The One.” Sometimes these encounters happen without our intervention.
One such way happened recently at Assumption Parish in Westport. They were doing a restoration project on their Church and uncovered centuries old liturgical art beneath coats of paint. There is a beautiful write-up about it in the Fairfield County Catholic’s January edition by Emily Clark. You can find the link HERE with the story on page 11.
Lastly, as we have the opportunity to encounter Beauty Incarnate in Eucharistic adoration, the Guild of the Most Sacred Heart will be partnering quite a bit with the Guild of the Most Blessed Sacrament in providing opportunities for Eucharistic adoration across the Diocese (see events below). In the meantime, for an intimate, personal encounter, take advantage of the many parishes that offer regular Eucharistic adoration. You can click HERE and access a diocesan list of all the regular opportunities for Eucharistic adoration. The list says Advent but most are normal hours they offer adoration.

The Literary Catholic has dropped its latest podcast episode. This initiative of the Guild has been so blessed and fruitful and we are so grateful to be partnering with Sacred Heart University in its germination. You can learn more about what the Literary Catholic is by clicking HERE.
