News:
“First of all, if beauty is the manifestation of a spiritual reality in physical form, then Mary expresses not only her own personality but also the Person of the Holy Spirit. We’ve said that human form is the most beautiful of all physical objects because it expresses a spiritual person. Mary is a perfect, flawless human person. All her faculties are at peace; her being is proportionate to her nature; all her actions are ordered to their proper ends. Therefore, her physical form expresses the perfection of humanity and consequently, as we’ve seen, perfectly expresses the Uncreated Grace, who is responsible for making her who she is. So if beauty is the perfection of nature and the incarnation of spiritual truth and goodness in a physical way - well then, that’s Mary.
John-Mark Miravalle, Beauty: What It Is & Why It Matters
As we journey through these last couple of weeks of Lent, there is no better person to emulate and to seek guidance from that Mary who is the Tota Pulchra, All Beautiful! She journeyed with her Son from conception to adulthood and from Cana to the Cross. As we catch sight of the finish line that is Easter Sunday, may we look to her for endurance, perseverance and strength to choose that which makes us most like her Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord.
Also, join us this Thursday for an amazing lecture featuring the Agony in the Garden in art. See the flyer below for more details and scroll further down for other upcoming events regarding Beauty as well as other Guilds in the Diocese!
Events:

Young Juilliard trained musicians who have partnered with us before are having a concert at St. Mary’s in Norwalk. The violin emerged as a virtuosic instrument in 17th century Italy, but its popularity quickly spread throughout Europe thanks to itinerant musicians. As the instrument found its way to the British Isles, an exciting fusion of sounds combined Italian virtuosity and traditional music. This program includes works by Corelli, Matteis, and Playford.

Join us for another great lecture regarding Sacred Architecture and the restoration of our own Basilica of St. John the Evangelist in Stamford!
Other Guilds

Join the Saint Paul Guild to hear about how one moment in history became the hinge and pivotal moment of salvation for all humanity (and creation!)
